Just what I was looking forboth the video and the podcast. I've been trying to find a way to use the ITouch to do a podcast. Ironically, iTouch has a voice recorder app but doesn't have a microphone you can buy to plug in. You have to get the headphones with the mic built in that's for the iPhone. So your software and hardware suggestions are appreciated. Thanks, guys!

Nicely done overview of the basics, but pul-lease consider not suggesting the $20 digital recorder. Most of these cannot record in an uncompressed (WAV) format, and they produce a sound that appears to have been recorded in a tin can. Un-listenable, in my humble opinion. For a few hundred dollars, you can get a good quality recorder. Think of your audience, not only your budget. PS There are many ways to publish an RSS feed sans IT help.
