How often do you email back and forth trying to find the perfect time to meet? Whether arranging a meeting within a company or among several different parties, scheduling meetings virtually can be frustrating.
Enter
Doodle.
Using Doodle’s free service you can schedule meetings without endless email exchanges or multiple phone calls and voice messages that waste countless hours. In the scheme of things, finding an efficient tool for scheduling meetings could become one of the new year’s best gifts for PR folk.
To schedule a meeting you select possible dates and times, then let the participants specify what works best for them. After everyone has provided their input, the organizer reviews everyone’s availability and sets the meeting for a day and time that satisfies the schedules of the entire group.
Doodle’s calendar connect works with services like Google, Outlook, iCal, Exchange, Microsoft Live, Lotus and Yahoo. It also includes an ICS feed that allows you to connect to virtually any calendar system. And, in July, the company updated its
iPhone app.
The basic free service doesn’t require registration but does serve up ads to help pay the bills. The premium version eliminates ads and enables you to customize the look and feel of the scheduling tool. It also provides additional features for individuals, teams and large organizations.
The Zurich-based Doodle, which started in 2007, says more than 10 million people worldwide use its services each month, scheduling roughly 30,000 new appointments every day.
Here’s to a New Year of hassle-free meeting scheduling.
