The 2012 baseball season is under way, and the New York Yankees already have bragging rights—on Facebook and Twitter.

Among all Major League Baseball teams, the Bronx Bombers have the most Facebook fans with more than 5.3 million people “liking” the team’s page. On Twitter, it has roughly 550,000 followers.

That’s according to social media agency Banyan Branch, which spent the off season analyzing the social media stats of baseball teams and players. In an infographic, the agency reveals the 10 most liked baseball teams on social media, as well as the most valuable tweeters, the most active tweeters, and more. Take a look:
