Best and worst jobs of 2012: PR executive is No. 70

Public relations is the seventh-most stressful job in America and, according to U.S. News and World Report, it’s No. 41 on the Best Jobs list.

However, a new report from CareerCast.com listing the top 200 jobs in 2012 ranks public relations executive at No. 70. Last year, PR executive was No. 113; in 2010, it was No. 79.

CareerCast says the the income for PR executive is $92,156.00. And although the stress levels are high, the hiring outlook appears strong.

Newspaper reporter ranked No. 196 on the list—between waiter/waitress (No. 195) and oil rig worker (No. 197)—making it one of the 10 worst jobs of 2012, according to CareerCast. The No. 1 job on the list is software engineer, while No. 200 is lumberjack.
