Houston’s Memorial Hermann Medical Center live tweeted a brain surgery on Wednesday.
The healthcare facility isn’t the first to perform the social media feat, but it did grab headlines and Twitter impressions on Wednesday for the effort.
Surgeons removed a benign tumor from a 21-year-old. The tumor was discovered about a month ago after the patient experienced a seizure.
The Twittercast of the surgery started at 7:30 am CST. The first incision occurred around 9 am CST. Live tweeting took place for roughly four hours, according to
Memorial Hermann.
