New research shows how to spark engagement on Facebook

Here’s an absolute must-see infographic for anyone who works in social media.

There’s always heavy debate over the best ways to attract more “likes,” comments, and shares on Facebook, but HubSpot’s Dan Zarella has compiled findings based on 1.3 million posts on some of the “top 10,000 pages.”

His data jibes with much of what I’m seeing with my colleagues.

Photos perform best for garnering “likes” and shares. Keep your copy short (or, surprisingly, long). As for time of day, you might want to start scheduling some posts in the evening to test how they perform.
