The Port of San Diego apologized on Wednesday night for a “technical glitch” that caused its fireworks show to begin 5-minutes early—and lasted about 15 seconds.
“We sincerely apologize for the technical glitch that affected the #BigBayBoom,” said a tweet from the Port of San Diego
. Big Bay Boom is the name of the show.

No one was hurt in the incident, which is currently under investigation. According to the NBC affiliate in San Diego
, Garden State Fireworks was hired to operate the show.
