Communications professionals at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign

By Alan Pearcy | Posted: August 8, 2012
The last time I went to school for communications, it was as a student. The University of Illinois has already enrolled enough of those, however, which might explain why this time around, it needs actual professionals.

The home of the Fighting Illini is hiring an associate director of communications to join its department of computer science, as well as another visiting media communications specialist to work within the school’s College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences (ACES).

Knowing that each position requires a candidate with a knack for creativity and strategy in their approach to building relationships, you’ll need to be quick on your toes to develop a rapport with faculty, staff, students, alumni, and the media.

Although you don’t have to register for classes, you will need to apply. Do so after checking each of the course job descriptions here and here.
