Going viral: MC ‘Bama raps ‘U Didn’t Build That’

By Alan Pearcy | Posted: September 18, 2012
President Obama already has a trophy for “Best Spoken Word Album,” but if the Grammy’s added a category for spliced together sound bites and parodies, he would be in line for one or two more.

Although the “Preezi of the United Steezi” has his pop basis covered, POTUS is now comin’ at the American voters harder—hammer style.

With the help of Australian lawyer Hugh Atkin, the commander-in-chief clears the air on one of the summer’s most criticized media gaffes—“You didn’t build that”— while transforming it into a viral hit.

Set to the tune of MC Hammer’s 1990 classic “U Can’t Touch This,” MC ‘Bama takes the mic and sets the record straight in regards to his now infamous misquote about small business owners not building their own roads or bridges.

Bonus points to Atkins for showcasing the First Lady's mad dance skills.

And in the interest of fairness, Atkins created a viral hit satirizing Mitt Romney to the tune of Eminem’s “The Real Slim Shady.”
