You naturally have the upper hand, you know what you’re looking for, and as long as the interviewee is cooperative, you’re golden.

To be an effective interviewee, preparation is paramount. Research and understand the topic (try to get some questions in advance, if possible). Come
prepared with stats, figures and background knowledge to help educate the interviewer if he or she hasn’t done their prep work.
