Netflix CEO: No advertising, just ‘cool trailers’

The executive of the streaming service remained firm on the company’s promise to not show ads, but said users would now receive ‘relevant’ content before and after shows.

Netflix CEO Reed Hastings confirmed the news on Facebook amid rumors that his company would start serving up ads in the same fashion that YouTube does.

Hastings’ Facebook post was pretty direct:

No advertising coming onto Netflix. Period. Just adding relevant cool trailers for other Netflix content you are likely to love.
