Kobe Bryant, a ‘least-liked’ athlete, tweets out against gay slurs

By Kevin Allen | Posted: February 12, 2013
Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant has evolved his basketball skills over the years along with, it seems, his views on gay slurs.

It wasn’t too long ago—April 2011—that Bryant was fined $100,000 by the NBA for hurling a homophobic slur at a referee. But it seems he’s changed his ways, if a recent tweet is any indication.

Responding to a pair of haters late Sunday night, Bryant tweeted:

Reminded of his past indiscretion in this arena, Bryant tweeted

‪@onepercentofone‬ ‪@pookeo9‬ exactly! That wasn't cool and was ignorant on my part. I own it and learn from it and expect the same from others

Today, it looks like we spell redemption K-O-B-E. And it might just help him find his way off of the list of 10 athletes with the worst images.
