These days, most studio films are sequels, board games, or book adaptations.
This year, for example, there are a number of sequels hitting the big screen—from “The Dark Knight Rises” to “The Bourne Legacy”; there’s a film inspired by the board game, Battleship; and there are a slew of books turned into movies, among them “The Hunger Games,” “The Lorax,” “The Vow,” and “One for the Money.”
