Study: Women outpacing men—in social media use

A recent study found that women in their 30s are “heavy contributors” to social media.

On Monday, USA Today reported that women in their 30s make up more than half of those considered “heavy contributors” to social media. They “engage in six or more social media activities,” according to USA Today.

The data on social media users comes from Netpop Research, which conducted an online survey last month of 1,253 American broadband users, ages 13 and older.
