How the new Motorola Xoom tablet compares with the iPad

You've heard that mobile is the new Internet, right?

I hope so. Sales of tablet computers could reach 24 million units this year alone, according to Forrester Research. And tablet makers from Apple to Motorola are scrambling for market share.

This is a huge deal for PR pros and internal communicators.

Once relegated to pumping out press releases and employee publications, communicators must now speak the language of the Geek Empire. You can't direct communications anymore unless you have a basic knowledge of platforms, smartphones, and tablets.

All tablet makers suffer from “iPad envy.” Why wouldn't they? People line streets outside Apple stores to buy them. They have become more than personal devices. They are now seen as fashion accessories.
