Charlie Sheen’s publicist quits

By Michael Sebastian | Posted: March 1, 2011
Immediately after Charlie Sheen’s ill-advised interview with TMZ on Monday, the actor’s longtime publicist, Stan Rosenfeld, called it quits.

“I worked with Charlie Sheen for a long time and I care about him very much,” Rosenfeld told TMZ. “However, at this time, I'm unable to work effectively as his publicist and have respectfully resigned.”

Sheen’s reaction?

He called Rosenfeld a “p**sy,” and said, “He’s not allowed to quit, so you’re fired.” (Did a “Two and a Half Men” writer feed him that line?)

Rosenfield also represents George Clooney and Robert De Niro, reports PopEater.com.
