Stephen Colbert, host of “The Colbert Report,” lampooned the grandiose statement from Newt Gingrich’s press secretary Rick Tyler by bringing actor John Lithgow on his show to read it—dramatically.

Lithgow comes on to read the press release about three minutes into the clip.
