Watch: 50 state stereotypes in 2 minutes

By Michael Sebastian | Posted: May 31, 2011
Must be a nice feeling when your book promotion goes viral.

That’s what happened to author Paul Jury, who created this two-minute video as a promo for his book, States of Confusion. He posted it to YouTube on May 27, and it has nearly 600,000 views.

In the video, Jury describes every U.S. state with a stereotype about the place.

I think his depiction of Maryland is my favorite.
