What restaurateurs can teach you about building loyalty through blogs

By Samantha Hosenkamp | Posted: September 21, 2011
Social Media Week Chicago is in full swing and no one is left out. Journalists, social media newbies and restaurateurs—yes, restaurateurs—are all taking part in this event new to the Windy City.

In a post submitted to PR Daily's LinkedIn group, digital strategist Katherine Leonard details the way that restaurateurs build brand loyalty through blogs.

Communicators, there are lessons in this for you, too.

Among the tips are:

1. Foster relationships through your blog. Leonard notes that everyone likes to be known by the head chef or bartender. Feature others on your blog and give regular shout outs to build community and loyalty.

2. Show personality. No one likes a boring blogger. Be fun and your readers will stick around and share content.

Read Leonard's post for more tips and a review on the social media restaurant session here.
