Director of marketing at Queens Library

During childhood, there was always one crackerjack babysitter who coaxed us into keeping quiet by playing a stirring round of the “Silent Game?”

Yeah, well, I was the kid who always lost. What can I say? I like to talk.

So you can understand my problem with public libraries and their strict, unremitting favoritism toward hush sounds.

The Queens Library, however, is looking to make some noise, but it could use some help turning up the volume. That’s why it’s hiring a director of marketing to build buzz around the library as a brand, tactfully increasing its visibility through a strategic approach to advertising and promotion.
