Infographic: 90 percent of conversations about brands happen offline

Word of mouth has always been one of the greatest driving forces behind purchasing decisions.

In case anyone doubts it, an infographic from the Word of Mouth Marketing Association drives the point home. Here are a couple highlights.

• Even with the proliferation of social media channels, 90 percent of word of mouth conversations about brands still occur offline.
• 66 percent of all brand-related word of mouth conversations are “mostly positive.”
