Nearly 50 percent of social networkers interact with brands

By Kevin Allen | Posted: December 21, 2012
Good news for brands: People are increasingly likely to interact with you in social media.

A recent Forrester study shows that 45 percent of people on social networks have interacted with a brand over the last three months. And younger people are increasing their interactions with brands: 56 percent of those between the ages of 18-23 have “liked,” followed or become a fan of a brand, up from 41 percent in 2011.

Still, only 7 percent have followed a brand on Twitter, so it’s more likely they’re interacting with them on Facebook.
