The checklist of social media sites on which brands are engaging with fans online just keeps growing: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Vine, and...OKCupid?
At least one brand, Pizza Hut, has set up a page for itself
on the popular, free dating site during the week of Valentine’s Day.
From the brand’s “self-summary” on its page: “Every day, fans tweet marriage proposals at @pizzahut
. We’re flattered, and we’re into it.”
Pizza Hut reiterated the notion in a tweet that links to the OKCupid page:
The brand’s dating profile lists its body type as “light and airy” and its education as a “Ph.D. in delicious.”
Scroll down the page a bit, and it becomes apparent the whole thing is a Valentine’s Day-themed sweepstakes in which Pizza Hut is asking fans to send ideas for the best marriage proposals ever. Proposals through Twitter are fine, but Pizza Hut wants something really big, so it’s asking for descriptions of the biggest, greatest proposals ever via Vine and Instagram videos labeled with the hashtag #CommitToGreatness.
The winner gets free pizza for life.

A few entries are already up on the OKCupid page. Some are pretty funny:
The sweepstakes ends Feb. 21.
