Study: Women use social media more than men do

By Kevin Allen | Posted: May 31, 2012
If the Web collapsed and social media ceased to be, British women would miss it far more than men.

A British Telecom study reveals that 54 percent of women regularly use social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter compared to 32 percent of men, according to Mashable.

Asked whether they would miss social networking if the Internet no longer existed, 18 percent of women said yes while only 7 percent of men said they would.

Curiously, both genders had the same likelihood of playing online games with men at 8 percent and women at 9 percent.
