The 10 most influential financial journalists and publications

Try pitching it to the big boys and girls in financial journalism—the influencers, the kingmakers, the publications and reporters with the most prestige.

The recent Gorkana Group Survey of Financial Journalists sought to determine the most influential financial publications and journalists. To do so, it surveyed 349 financial journalists in the U.S. Among those reporters, The Wall Street Journal was the most influential, with nearly 72 percent nominating the paper.

Here are the top 10:

3. The New York Times
4. Reuters
5. Financial Times
6. CNBC
7. Dow Jones News
8. The Economist
9. Fox News
10. Forbes

Andrew Ross Sorkin, New York Times
Gretchen Morgenson, New York Times
Michael Lewis, Vanity Fair and author
Paul Krugman, New York Times
Jim Cramer, CNBC and The Street
Joe Nocera, New York Times

Maria Bartiromo, CNBC
