YouTube’s 2015 ‘Rewind’ more than just memes and dance trends

Four TV moments, two ads and a public affairs team’s effort made the list of this year’s most popular videos.

YouTube recently (and appropriately) shared its yearly review—called #YouTubeRewind—with a video mashup of 2015’s most popular videos and channels:

The video is chock full of Internet memes, social media references and popular vloggers. YouTube told Business Insider that the roughly seven-minute creation took 21 days to piece together and was shot in multiple cities throughout the world. YouTube also revealed its top 10 most viewed videos of 2015:

The year’s most popular videos aren’t just pranks and music videos, either. For the first time ever, four television moments—from four different shows—made the list, YouTube staffers reported in a blog post:
