It’s human nature to keep score, so it only makes sense to rank the top public relations firms by their social media use.
Luckily, social media analytics firm
Sociagility (get it … a mashup of the words social and agility?) is here to tell us.
“Our view is that big agency networks offering social media advice must walk the talk,” Niall Cook, the co-founder and principal of Sociagility, said in a
blog post. “Those that cannot show they know what they are doing for their own brands will lose out in the battle to advise others.”
The bad news is that if you don’t work for Edelman, it’s not your company. Edelman tops the charts in all three categories—most effective, most powerful, and most engaging—for its website, Facebook page, Twitter feed, and YouTube channel.
But here are the world’s top ten most powerful PR agencies, according to Sociagility:
-
Edelman
- Ogilvy
- Euro RSCG
- Ketchum
Weber
- Shandwick
- Grayling
- MSL Group
- Burson-Marsteller
- The Hoffman Agency
- Text100
To determine the rankings, Sociagility applied its PRINT methodology—Popularity, Receptiveness, Interaction, Network reach, Trust—to 25 of the PR organizations in
The Holmes Report Global PR Agency Rankings 2012.
