Head of investor relations for Abercrombie & Fitch

By Alan Pearcy | Posted: July 30, 2012
At first mention of the word “preppy,” even when strictly used in a sartorial manner, my mind races to A.C. Slater’s moniker-of-choice for “Saved by the Bell” chum Zack Morris.

But unless you’re pitching Kelly Kapowski, “preppy” might not be the best sell for reeling in all those valuable investors.

Consider that free pre-interview advice if and when you land a face-to-face meeting with fashion retailer Abercrombie & Fitch, which is searching for its new head of investor relations. Bringing both media and retail experience to the table, the right candidate doesn’t have to be an authority on '80s and '90s television, but he or she must demonstrate good judgment in a high-stress environment while also maintaining a clear line of communication with the brand’s valued stakeholders.
