Head of global small business marketing communications at Facebook

By Alan Pearcy | Posted: January 11, 2013
Tommy can’t wait to devour the rueben he just ordered. It’s going to be EPIC!!

Sally had the most stressful day at work. She's going to the mall for some much needed retail therapy.

Fred is heading to the beach strictly to Instagram a photo of himself at the beach with the intent of making all his friends jealous.

Dear Tommy: No sandwich was, is, or ever will be "EPIC," at least not two-exclamation-points "EPIC."

Dear Sally: Really?! You’re a yoga instructor. I think you're doing it wrong.

Dear Fred: OK—I'm a little jealous.

Whatever their reasoning is, the millennial generation feels compelled to share even the most inane nuances of their lives by way of social media.

It's no wonder then that I feel so obligated to share news that Facebook is looking to hire a head of global small business marketing communications. Joining its team in Menlo Park, Calif., the right candidate will be tasked with the goal of educating and inspiring SMBs (small- to medium-size businesses) to market their businesses on the social network.
