Canadian radio station takes heat for burning $5,000 after listener vote
Calgary’s 90.3 AMP Radio made a video of two DJs setting the cash aflame in a pet crematorium incinerator. The station’s Facebook page exploded with complaints.
Children in your city go hungry, families are homeless and live in shelters, and there are elderly who struggle to eat one meal a day and this is the message you send? That it’s okay to burn thousands of dollars? Hey, why didn’t you just hit the bricks and personally slap the faces of all those people in your city struggling to eat, to survive. Your actions are disgraceful and ignorant.
