WARNING: PR professionals are in danger. I repeat. PR professionals are in danger. As much as
industry pros love coffee—turning to the heavenly-roasted bean to fuel their productivity throughout the day—a new study suggests you might want to switch to decaf. Turns out caffeine is among the stimulants that
might make hard-workers the sloths of their workplace, say researchers.
Jumping from the workplace to the home, you might be surprised to learn how many households have sipped from that “Apple” juice.
Time magazine reports that half of Americans have Apple products in their homes. Considering I’ve already used four this morning, I’m not all too shocked by the findings.
I haven’t found Siri to be all that helpful, but for users who have,
here’s why.
Perhaps our Commander-in-Chief found
this infographic and thought, “You know, my administration really should be using Pinterest.” Then again, maybe the president really enjoys virtual scrapbooking. I could see that. Either way,
Barack Obama has joined the world of pinboards, hoping his pinning ways will lead to a winning 2012 campaign.
And while
Obama and
his wife are both Twitter superstars, you, too, can garner social media “
Fame” on the digital network through an interesting raffle-esque online game by venture capitalist Adam Ludwin. The winners will reportedly nab as many followers as either our fearless leader or his First Lady. (via

Congressman Bobby Rush from Obama’s home state of Illinois was
escorted from the House floor after the Democrat wore a hoodie during a speech to draw attention to racial profiling in the wake of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin’s death.

these five oxymoronic phrases in the office could also unexpectedly do the trick.
One phrase that viewers of the “Mad Men” season premiere are likely singing is “Zou Bisou Bisou.” Due to the song’s newfound popularity, the sexy ditty was
released on iTunes and on special-edition vinyl on the program’s website.
Releasing New York Jets jerseys and apparel with the name of the NFL franchise’s
“excited” new quarterback Tim Tebow was a tad preemptive on Reebok’s part.
Nike is suing its athletic wear rival over claims that Reebok wasn’t authorized or licensed to use Tebow’s name on its merchandise.
From one
sports viral marketing sensation to the next,
Jeremy Lin met with former ESPN editor Anthony Federico who was fired last month after writing what was then knocked as a
racist headline.
While Lin moves beyond that incident, more and more magazines have moved beyond traditional print.
Digital circulation has more than doubled to 3.29 million, yet the number of online subscriptions remains a mere 1 percent of magazines’ total paid and verified circulation.
Tumblr, on the other hand, has reached a big milestone. The blogging platform has
hit its 20 billionth post since its launch in 2007.
Meanwhile, Larry—insider’s name for the guy on your Quaker Oats—has shed some big numbers. The brand mascot
received a makeover of sorts, losing some weight and trimming his locks a bit for a fresher look.
