We recently pointed out some of the clever lengths to which agencies are going to find their latest crops of interns.
There’s the agency with the GIF challenge
. And cosmetics maker Nivea’s Instagram challenge
. But Minneapolis-based ad agency Solve
is going old school—on purpose—to find its summer interns.
In handwritten letters
posted around some college campuses, the agency stresses the need for authentic connections and asks applicants to send a cover letter and resume by mail (gasp!):
A Solve representative explained the idea behind the approach to The Minneapolis Egotist
Regardless of constantly evolving platforms and technology, brand communication has always been about genuine connections. This fundamental truth inspired our approach…we want to reach out to potential applicants in a personal, straightforward way and ask them to respond in kind, so we can actually get to know them.
Interested applicants should send their information to Solve by March 24.
