Under U.S. law, you’re allowed to call the Bible just about anything you want without legal repercussions.
But Costco couldn’t get away with calling it fiction without catching hell.

A pastor in Simi Valley, Calif., tweeted a photo of a Bible for sale at Costo labeled as “fiction.”
The members at Discovery Church, where Caleb Kaltenbach is pastor, were displeased. And then it made the local news:
Costco issued the following apology on Wednesday:
Costco’s distributor mislabeled a small percentage of the Bibles, however we take responsibility and should have caught the mistake. We are correcting this with them for future distribution. In addition, we are immediately relabeling all mislabeled Bibles. We greatly apologize for this error.
