Frank Sinatra famously said: “I feel sorry for people who don't drink. When they wake up in the morning, that's as good as they're going to feel all day.”

He was referring to drinking alcohol, but it could just as easily be coffee.

More than half of the U.S. population consumes the magical brew, according to an infographic from Hamilton Beach, which makes coffeemakers. The average person drinks 3.1 cups of coffee a day amounting to 66 billion cups per year. Office workers consume four cups of coffee (or tea) daily, and men drink slightly more java than women.
