McDonald’s, Costco join antibiotic-free chicken trend

The fast-food giant and the retailer are following in the footsteps of other brands that have already pledged not to sell chicken infused with antibiotics.

McDonald’s recent struggles have been well documented on this and many other websites, and now the company is showing that it’s serious about making very necessary changes.

Over the last several years, the world’s consumers have become more socially conscious, but McDonald’s insisted on serving customers the same chemically fortified food. Meanwhile, Chipotle changed everything with its antibiotic-free meats and dairy products.

McDonald’s is finally catching up.

The company said last week that it would eventually stop selling antibiotic-infused chicken. However, the move won’t be complete for another two years. After all, you can’t expect a glacier to melt over night.
