The worst TV commercials in America

Owing largely to the ubiquity of digital video recorders like TiVo, commercial watching (at least in my household) has become a dated practice.

But sometimes—when you’re in a hotel or at a friend’s house, for instance—commercials are simply inescapable.

It is during these times that I’m struck by how awful commercials are. But it takes an especially bad commercial to make Consumerist’s list of the worst commercials of 2011. Here are a few of the more notable losers, including the worst ad in America:
