Every weekday, PR Daily associate editor Alan Pearcy highlights the day’s most compelling stories and amusing marginalia on the Web in this, #TheDailySpin.
Sure, Burger King says we can have it our way—as long as our way doesn’t warrant having it now. According to a
study commissioned by QSR magazine (meaning “quick-service restaurants”), frequenters of the chain endure
the slowest drive-thru in fast food, clocked at an average wait time of nearly 3 minutes 20 seconds (201.33 seconds). Meanwhile, Wendy’s has the fastest at slightly less than 2 minutes 10 seconds (129.75 seconds). (Not exactly the “
right away” that Willard Scott promised back in the day.) Burger King also had the worse accuracy ratings of the seven chains surveyed.
Maybe I’ll just grab a Pumpkin Spice Latte at Starbucks, instead. What do you mean, they’re out?! The highly anticipated fall favorite, which hit store menus on Sept. 4, apparently brewed up so much buzz that some baristas have said their locations are
being drained of their seasonal stash. (via

It’s no Pumpkin Spice, but Nestlé Drumstick evidently has a adamant group of fans as well—1 million of them, in fact. To thank its
Facebook devotees, the company is “raising a cone” to admirers through the gift of song in this specially penned ode:
Thanking your fans is a good start for any company aiming to flourish on Facebook. According to
Social Media Today, however, there are
three obscure skills you’ll need to succeed in social media.
Knowing where your fan-base might be can’t hurt, either. According to

A number of those fashion brands and retailers are also helping Facebook by
testing the social network’s new “want” button, which is part of a new feature dubbed “Collections.” Retailers involved in the program are Pottery Barn, Wayfair, Victoria's Secret, Michael Kors, Neiman Marcus, Smith Optics, and Fab.com.
Speaking of Neiman Marcus, the lavish department store
released its annual Christmas book on Tuesday. Known for featuring expensive and often outrageous "fantasy gifts," the catalog of sorts is now in its 86th edition.

Tim Tebow’s Jets not only failed to find their stride on the field during the team’s
loss to the Texans this week, but the quarterback also
failed to deliver a clear message when
tweeting about it being the 666th Monday Night Football game.
One thing that is clear: my jealousy of Rob Wilson. The 24-year-old actor and Boston-area native was named the
first male model on “The Price is Right” in the show’s 40-year history. What do I have to live for now? Oh,
season two of “Honey Boo Boo”—I forgot.
