Video: Stuff PR people say

By Michael Sebastian | Posted: December 26, 2012
Editor's note: This story first appeared on PR Daily in January.

The Internet is awash in videos about stuff that certain groups of people say.

Among the most popular is “Sh*t Girls Say,” which has grabbed 10 million views on YouTube to date. There’s a host of imitators, including “Sh*t Black Girls Say.” Both videos have caused their fair share of controversy.

And now there’s one for public relations professionals.

Hunter PR, a consumer-focused PR shop in New York, posted this one-and-a-half minute video to YouTube on Friday.

What do you think? Any of it sound familiar?

Hunter PR’s Michael Lamp told PR Daily that creating the video took one week.

“We developed the idea during a Monday morning team meeting and began drafting the PR phrases immediately,” he explained. “We were filming and editing footage Wednesday and Thursday and got the video uploaded and posted to our YouTube page Friday evening at 5 p.m. EST.”

Thus far, the company is pleased with the performance of the video, which has garnered more than 3,500 views on YouTube.

“We made the video to join the larger ‘Sh*t Girls Say’ conversation and have our industry's voice heard, so to see so many people laughing with us has been a treat,” Lamp said.
