Social media and PR specialist at the National Aquarium

By Alan Pearcy | Posted: June 15, 2012
Maybe the ocean was just too mainstream for Hipster Ariel, the indie-music loving, PBR-drinking version of Disney’s “Little Mermaid” star.

I bet she just wanted to wear skinny jeans.

Whatever it was, Hipster Ariel has her (ironic) reasoning for wanting to be a part of our world, but I won’t hold it against you for wanting to join her former underwater home. Neither will the National Aquarium in Baltimore. In fact, it’s probably banking on it.

The nonprofit aquatic education and conservation organization is looking for a social media and PR specialist to dive into the sea of online networks on its behalf, swimming with the internal marketing and public relations teams to engage in its relationships with visitors, the press, and other communities.
