61 percent say LinkedIn is their go-to social networking tool

By Kevin Allen | Posted: December 20, 2012
When it comes to the social media landscape, I’ve always thought of LinkedIn as that distant cousin you see every so often. You’re surprised that you have so much in common, and you wonder why you don’t stay in touch more. You part, and you forget—as always—to stay in touch.

Apparently, I’m doing it wrong.

A full 61 percent of LinkedIn members use the platform as their primary social networking tool. That seems high, but it’s written in this infographic from website-monitoring.com. It also makes sense when you consider the largest contingent using the platform is the 35-44 age group.

The infographic is full of facts and figures that paint a pretty optimistic picture of the service, including the fact that the site is 187 million members strong and growing.
