Under the #ivoted hashtag, for instance, people shared pictures of themselves after casting a ballot today. Of course, that’s just one style of image bouncing around online. We tracked down 10 pictures on the Web that helped tell the tale of Election Day 2012.

Celebrities are just like us—they vote.

Plenty of celebrities encouraged people to vote by sharing images of themselves outside their respective polling places. For instance, comedienne and talk-show host Ellen DeGeneres tweeted a pic, as did Jeff Tweedy, lead singer of the band Wilco:
