In the late, great ABC sitcom “Happy Endings,” it claimed
Omaha, Neb., was known as the “Window City” because of its famous Window Museum, which the show described as “a lot of just looking right through to other parts of the museum.”
Well, call me bamboozled when, upon traveling to Omaha, I learned that no such museum existed there. Thank goodness someone redirected me to the President Gerald R. Ford Birthsite and Gardens
or the whole trip might have been a wash.
What certainly does exist is The Corning Museum of Glass
in Upstate New York, a center for the art, history, and science of glass and glassmaking.
I can only hope that raising public awareness of this awesome facility will be a priority for its next public relations manager
Aside from overseeing and implementing regional, national, and international media relations efforts, this individual will also work alongside the not-for-profit museum’s digital team, as well as develop, write, and edit content for communications and social media channels.
