    Ronald N. Levy says:

If you get patients to send donors a “thank you for helping to save my life” letter, you may be surprised or even amazed at the additional donations you bring in.

Putting such letters on your website may bring donations from many potential donors who’ve been indecisive but are moved to action at seeing what a donation can accomplish. Human lives save, lives that continue instead of ending.

After successful surgery, family members in the waiting room hug the surgeon because they know who that is, but not the anesthetist whose name they may have never even heard. It can be that way with donations. When a major donor knows WHO may be alive thanks to the donation, it’s like the family knowing who did the surgery.

Generating letters of gratitude is easy because most of us are not just willing
but delighted to thank those who help save our lives.
