That’s the perception Pantene wants to leave you with, but it’s not transparent or authentic.

Using celebrities for “influencer” marketing might create interest in watching the commercial or the star’s Instagram feed, but they’re not what they once were.

Celebrities no longer influence us

Though there are brands that do it really well—Nike always seems to be right on target—most fail at star-run campaigns because we are no longer in an age when celebrities influence what we do, what we wear or how we look.
