Meaghan Baumwald

Meaghan Baumwald is a seasoned communications leader with more than 15 years of experience shaping corporate narratives, elevating executive visibility and coaching high-performing teams. As Senior Director of Internal Communications at XPO, she leads a global team to deliver integrated strategies spanning internal, external, digital and customer communications. She is a trusted advisor to senior leadership, known for her expert storytelling and strong sense of visual and narrative design.

Before joining XPO, Meaghan led global communications at Slalom, a technology consulting firm, where she focused on employee experience, executive messaging and brand marketing. She earned a Marketing Impact Award for delivering 50 customer stories in 100 days across more than 45 markets.

Earlier in her career, Meaghan held communications leadership roles at Lowe’s Companies, Inc., Cox Enterprises, and Cox Automotive—earning industry recognition including a Gold Quill Award from the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC). Prior to her in-house roles, she led complex M&A communication and change management strategies for Fortune 50 companies in the retail and pharmaceutical sectors as a consultant at Willis Towers Watson.

Meaghan began her career in political communications, serving as Communications Director to a U.S. Congressman and holding press roles in the U.S. Senate, including Deputy Press Secretary and Press Assistant.
