In what’s likely a case of SEO gone terribly wrong, Walmart got blasted on social media and blogs Monday for labeling a Halloween section of its website “Fat Girl Costumes.”

Walmart removed the label from its site Monday afternoon and has been issuing this apology on Twitter:

@KristinSecorsky This never should have been on our site. It is unacceptable, and we apologize. We worked quickly to remove this. -Jes

People were noticing the section label as early as last week:

.@Walmart Not sure labeling these as “Fat Girl Costumes” is the best approach. #rude http://t.co/UbDq6BpArv pic.twitter.com/SE5BjOUPFs
