Oct. 10: Weston, Florida (Fort Lauderdale area)

9– 10 a.m.

Manager communications: What are we up against?

We all want managers to communicate more, but what exactly does that mean? Through an interactive session, we’ll identify some of the considerations and potential roadblocks to putting an award-winning manager communications program in place.

10 – 10:45 a.m.

Start with the big picture and highlight employee expectations

The best first step in launching any program lies in taking stock of exactly what’s going on within your current organization. This session will cover how to conduct an audit of the state of manager communications inside your organization today.

10:45 – 11 a.m.

11– 11:45 a.m.

Getting into the minds of our managers and our employees

You’ve done your research and have audit results.  Managers are often being pulled in 10 directions at once. To convince them to invest in becoming communicators requires first understanding them, and then presenting how communications training and efforts will benefit them.

11:45 a.m. – 12:45 p.m.

12:45 – 1:45 p.m.

Building your training program

Now that we know what your organization needs and how to get managers on board, managers will need some basic communications training.  This session will cover how you can easily create and deliver a training program and not have to rely on other departments.

2 – 2:45 p.m.

Filling your new channel with content

Once you’ve trained managers to be communicators, you’ll need to provide them information and content to communicate. This session will focus on uncovering and planning for content you’ll need, and how to repurpose content you plan to use elsewhere so that you don’t overload your own content development capacity.

2:45 – 3 p.m.

3 – 3:45 p.m.

Keeping the system running after launch

Without a plan for maintenance, the best program will quickly wither.  This section will discuss how to keep your manager communications program running after launch.

3:45 – 4:30 p.m.

Bringing your manager communications efforts to life

This session will discuss and share how you plan to implement your manager communications program when you return to the office, reviewing all the elements covered during the workshop.
