What PR Daily learned about its readers in 2011

This week, we are counting down the 25 most-popular stories on the site. Here’s what those stories told us about you, the PR Daily reader.

In February, we unveiled a major redesign of the site, moving from an email-based aggregator to a regularly updated daily news and opinion site. We continued to aggregate news, while adding original reporting and commentary, and welcoming new contributors and columnists.

The site’s monthly readership now hovers around 400,000 visitors a month (while the editors’ free time and amount of sleep have plummeted).

As part of our yearend coverage, the editors compiled a list of the 25 most-popular articles on the site in 2011. All week, we are counting down those stories, starting Tuesday with Nos. 25 through 19.

While exploring the list of top stories, we noticed some patterns that told us a great deal about you, the PR Daily readers. Among the things we learned:

You strive to improve at your jobs

Advice columns dominated the list of most-popular stories. Whether it was how better to pitch the media or techniques for mastering social media, PR Daily readers eagerly consumed tip sheets and advice pieces.
