Alex Rodriguez’s 660th home run
Starting with baseball, New York Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez is within one home run of tying the great Willie Mays for fourth on the all-time list of home run leaders in Major League Baseball history.
This would be cause célèbre because Rodriguez has only recently returned to baseball after serving a season-long suspension for using a banned substance. A-Rod, as the pundits call him, has repeatedly lied about his use of performance-enhancing drugs, thus adding to his generally accepted cheater status.
