Emily Post explains texting and tweeting etiquette

David Carr’s recent New York Times column pointed out how it’s become “fashionable to be rude” by texting, Facebooking, tweeting and Googling while we should be engaging with the humans in front of us.

He writes, “Every meal out with friends or colleagues represents a negotiation between connectedness to the grid and interaction with those on hand.”

Still, Carr points out, there are those like TechCrunch writer MG Siegler who believe that Web 2.0 also means that we must accept Dinner 2.0.
